a test run

So I am trying something new: I am cross-posting this from my Dreamwidth account, which has been sitting on the shelf staring at me so long it has gathered dust, and I haven't been making eye contact with it for a long time because of the amount of guilt it induces in me (which cordelia_v will remind me is a useless emotion.) But in truth, I haven't found much of a use for it, until recently.

At any rate, I will be using the Dreamwidth account for blogging about any number of things that interest me, primarily non-fannish: politics, religion, and writing. I paused for quite a bit there, staring at the blinking cursor, thinking surely there must be a longer list of things that interest me than that, but. . . no. Apparently not.

My LJ account will be primarily for fannish activity, and since there's substantially less of that these days, it will see less action, though all my DW stuff will magically appear here. So if any of the above musings are profoundly boring to you, feel free to filter or ignore at will.

I'm going to post this now and see if this here new-fangled cross-posting all the kids are trying today really works.
